Six Nations
Last year the six Nations was won by France, who managed their first Grand Slam since 2004. Ireland came second, unable to repreat the previous year's title win. Ireland didn't quite manage the Triple Crown either after a surpise defeat at the hands of Scotland.
This year, is Ireland's year if you look at the performances in the Heineken Cup. But the Heineken Cup has also taken a toll on player injuries. As well as that, Munster and Leinster are no longer all Irish teams, they each have their fair share of imported players. So, while the Irish provinces are performing well it's hard to know if that will translate to an all round performance from the Irish National side.
England are looking fitter and stronger than they have done since their world cup win, a few years in the doldrums look to be coming to an end. A team to watch out for.
It looks set to be a thrilling competition again this year.
